I have been so pressured to get work done I've written nothing for the blog all week! But in my latest Class B/van conversion research, I've found information in a few different places that, very few people full-time in a Class B because there is not enough room in the fridge (the reefer?) (Yeah, I'm just learning to speak RV)! And the holding tanks are too small; the van is very limited in how much weight it can carry. So I've done a dream-upgrade, and have begun to look at the B plus and C-class RV's like the Mini-Winnie or the Trend. There are lots and lots of brands out there. I'm going to need a spreadsheet! I'm pretty sure my friend Alyssa will help me with that.
Also, I spoke to Tom, about the benefits of a diesel engine over gasoline. He said there are plusses and minuses to both. Diesel is touted as much more sturdy than a gas engine, and gets better mileage. But the fuel is more expensive. He said that they both break down occasionally, but they will break in different ways. And, if adding a diesel engine will add $20K to the purchase price? I can do without it. I hate the smell of a diesel engine, anyway. One of the reasons I'm leaving NY to get away from the fumes!
