I recently acquired a Nikon D90 camera body with a couple lenses. In chatting with my dentist about the differences, he said that Canon runs blue or cooler, and Nikon is warmer. I was curious, hence the field test. In the images above, It’s the Canon SX50 HS (aka Power Shot) with a fixed lens, the Canon Zoom Lens 50XISm4.3-215.0mm 1:3.4-6.5 USM. The center photo is the Nikon D90 with a Nikon lens AF-S DX NIKKOR ED 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G. The image on the right was taken with my iPhone 8+.
I am aware that the Canon lens can zoom to 1200m, so comparing it with the Nikon lens isn’t going to yield an absolute analysis, but I believe that photos shot within the same range at the same moment ought to give me some useful information. I’ll keep the photo order the same throughout, Canon, Nikon, and then the iPhone.
This weird mushroom-y construction stuff will one day be a public park and a pier for the employees who commute into the Google campus.
I’ll wrap this up with the only political photos of the day. I wish more people would buy stainless steel flasks to reuse.
