This event was blessed with perfect weather. Mark it in your calendar ladies--so the next time we're camping and it's raining, too windy, cold, or too hot, we can say, "Yes. But ahh, remember Sandy Pines?"
The event was not spectacular just because of the weather. No. Michelle planned and designed, prepared, and shopped till she dropped, making things ready for us. I mean, check out this patch!
We began with a Friday nIght meet-n-greet at our gathering site. Appetizers. Yes of course we brought way too much food, as always. But sitting in that campfire circle was like coming home. Audrey was our Fire Marshal, and she did a great job! We also decorated our martini glasses on Friday night. A crafty and fun activity to do as we reconnected, and got to know our new sisters.

Saturday morning we gathered for breakfast, coffee, tea, and sister time. Generally, I don't photograph sisters with bed hair and in pj's, but I think some other sister's photos are in the fb secret album. We showered, got dressed and went on a trolley tour of Kennebunkport. I neglected to take a photo of the trolley, so I will borrow one from the trolley website.
I don't like shooting through glass, and was content to just take in the tour, so not many pix here. But I very much enjoyed the outing and the driver's knowledgeable patter. Liz, Laurie, and I did our bit to reduce the lobster population of Kennebunkport. I loved the fact that Laurie's hoodie was the same shade of pink as the flamingos! The lobster, crab, and jellyfish china was actually photographed in Northport, NY as I was dining with Elvira and planning our trip to Maine. And check out the goodie bags, each with our patches and three charms: a lobster, a lighthouse, and a schooner! Thanks for the charms Laurie!
Saturday night there was a martini contest, and masquerade dress-up party that was extremely fun. There were all sorts of recipes for this classic cocktail, and virgin martini's too! Photos will tell the story. Click on pix to enlarge them.
That's my virgin "Hootch-tini" in my steam punk martini-time glass. (Here's looking at you, V. Lynn Moore for the inspiration!)
The accounting firm of Tierno L.L.C. tallied the votes. And the winner is... (drum roll) Loreen Racicot! Tah Daah! Plus three runner ups, who all seemed pretty happy.
Sunday morning after breakfast, twenty sisters went on a two-hour schooner sailing tour that was just lovely. The photos will again, tell the story.
Check out who got the best seats in the house for this ride! Sail on, sisters!
Sunday night we had a Boots, Bandanas, and BBQ gathering. Waaay fun! And a great final night to our wonderful weekend. There was a Cinderella Boot give away, and Alicia had the magic boot size!
I was too busy having fun to visit many of my sister's set-ups, but below are the four I did visit. The rest of you, I will catch up with somewhere down the road. Michelle's Joline is first on my list!
Here's Sue Green's "Happy Days."
This is Kari Doiron's custom converted van.
Here's Judy Trotter's Glamped-up site.
Check out who I passed along my journey home! No SOTF bumper stickers that I could see, but maybe...
So, I will end here by thanking Michelle Godon-Sillon, our hostess and wrangler, and her wrangler-etts for this event, Tanya and Laurie, and all the other sisters who contributed their time and effort to make this one of the BEST camping weekends this sister has ever experienced. Thank you all. Safe travels, and I'll see you soon somewhere down the road.
